Ex-Pastor Arrested for Bringing His Baby to a Bar
Police arrested a couple for bringing their infant into a bar.
Shari Treba and Michael Trosclair, a former pastor, reportedly brought their baby girl into an Indianapolis bar because “partying was more important than their child.”
Trosclair and Treba attended a party earlier this month where they were too intoxicated to care for their child, police say.
Treba allegedly was cut off and sent outside with the stroller. She then offered to trade sexual favors to individuals who purchased her drinks while she was outside the bar with her child in a stroller, Fox News reports. Meanwhile, Trosclair continued to drink.
“His gait was what I would consider an intoxicated walk that I have seen many times during my 25 years as a police officer,” one officer said in an affidavit obtained by AL.com.
“Mr. Trosclair became belligerent and started demanding to talk to a lawyer and telling us we weren’t going to do anything,” Det. Nicolle Flynn wrote in the same affidavit. “It was at this time, due to Mr. Trosclair’s behavior, I put him in cuffs for fear he may fight us with the baby right there.”
Trosclair pastored Turning Point Church, a congregation in Theodore, Alabama, for four years. He now works for insurance company Primerica.
The child was removed from her parents’ custody. {eoa}
