Franklin Graham Calls Out Schools for Teaching Lies About Transgenderism
In the shadow of our nation’s capital, Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia is preparing to teach gender identity in its classrooms, including lessons on gender fluidity and spectrum—the idea that no child is truly 100 percent boy or girl. The news has parents irate as no alternative options will be offered to take in place of these required classes in grades 7 to 12.
Shortly after foxnews.com posted the story, Franklin Graham called out this idea on his Facebook page:
“Teaching them that there is no difference between boys and girls is nothing more than a lie,” Franklin Graham said. “We are different because God made us different. School districts should not allow this poison anywhere near the classroom!”
Graham said the situation in Virginia reinforces the need for Christians to be involved in all areas of politics, especially the local level.
“This is a great example of why Christians should be involved in politics at all levels in our communities, cities and nation,” he continued. “Christians upholding biblical principles on school boards could help put a stop to outrageous initiatives like this.”
Graham has announced a 50-state tour in 2016, called the Decision America Tour, where he will be traveling the country to preach the gospel and encourage believers to live out their faith and make a difference in their communities by running for office at the local, state and federal level—stressing the importance of school board and city council positions.
“Let’s fight back by getting the names of Christians on the ballots and working to make a difference for the future of our nation,” he said. “For the sake of our children and grandchildren.”
