Franklin Graham Issues National Call to Prayer Following Third Attack in 12 Hours
Three attacks against three separate U.S. cities stirred Franklin Graham to action.
The evangelist, who is on his 50-state Decision America Tour, called the nation to prayer after a pipe bomb exploded in New Jersey, another in Chelsea, and a stabbing in Minnesota.
“Join me in praying for the injured and for the families of victims. And pray for law enforcement as they try to find those guilty of being involved in these atrocities and as they continue to serve to protect us,” Graham posted.
The Islamic State claimed the Minnesota mall stabber was a soldier for ISIS. Law enforcement officials are now investigating the two bombings as linked.
“Just because you have one thing in common, doesn’t mean the devices are similar,” one official told ABC News.
Graham says he believes the way to halt terrorism starts in the Oval Office.
“One thing is for sure—our next president needs to be someone who is tough on terrorism,” Graham said.
