Grant Jeffrey Dies After Sudden Seizure
Prophecy teacher Grant Jeffrey has gone home to be with the Lord. Jeffrey suffered a seizure on Friday and was hospitalized. He was in critical condition until he passed on Saturday.
Jeffrey was one of the leading teachers on Bible prophecy and an intelligent defense of our Christian faith. He was the chairman of Frontier Research Publications, Inc. Grant’s 27 best-selling books sold more than 7 million copies during the last 20 years. Bantam, Harper Collins, Zondervan, Word and Tyndale, among others, have printed his books in 24 languages. Titles include Armageddon, Prince of Darkness, Final Warning, Signature of God, Finding Financial Freedom and The War on Terror.
For the last four years, Jeffrey’s TV program Bible Prophecy Revealed was broadcast twice weekly in more than 80 nations on Trinity Broadcasting Network. He also appeared frequently as a guest on TV and radio stations internationally. During the last two decades he was the main speaker in hundreds of prophecy conferences around the world.
A passion for research led Jeffrey to acquire a personal library of more than 7,000 books on prophecy, theology and biblical archeology. He earned a Master’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in biblical studies from Louisiana Baptist University. He was the editor of the Jeffrey Prophecy Study Bible. This 2.5 year writing project was his doctoral dissertation.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Jeffrey taught eschatology part-time at several colleges. His dozens of research trips to the Middle East and extensive interviews with experts in the military and intelligence field, including political leaders such as Benjamin Netanyahu and Shimon Peres, offered the background to the insights found in The New Temple and the Second Coming and Countdown To The Apocalypse.
Jeffrey was a professional in the financial planning and insurance brokerage field for 18 years. While pursuing his business career he acquired a Chartered Life Underwriter degree (law, pensions, accounting) from the University of Toronto extension program.
Jeffrey’s prophetic novel By Dawn’s Early Light, written with co-author Angela Hunt, received the respected Christy Award for the Best Prophetic Fiction novel of 1999.
