Groundbreaking Evangelical Worship Gathering to Open World’s Largest Pro-Life Event in January

In a first-ever collaboration of leading evangelical pro-life groups, the world’s largest pro-life event—the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.—will feature a nondenominational prayer and worship gathering called OneVoiceDC as a central element of the two-day event on Jan. 21-22, 2015.

Year after year, March for Life draws crowds of more than 500,000 people to stand in protest of the ultimate human-rights injustice of our day: abortion.

OneVoiceDC is open to all (online registration required) and is being spearheaded by The Radiance Foundation, Bound4LIFE and Online For Life in partnership with numerous pro-life, pro-family, and pro-liberty organizations.

“When God’s people pray, anything is possible—mountains can move, wounded people can get healed, justice can be released,” says Matt Lockett, Executive Director of Bound4LIFE International. “OneVoiceDC is an opportunity to join together in prayer for all this and more on behalf of the nation.”

In corporate prayer, believers will together contend for key areas tied to this year’s March for Life theme “Every Life Is a Gift”: praying for the ending of abortion, for post-abortive healing and for the success of pro-life advocacy efforts worldwide. Worship will be led by a diverse, inspiring team of local and regional leaders.

A peaceful demonstration held annually since 1973, March for Life marks the somber anniversary of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. These two Supreme Court decisions dictated a radically perilous national abortion policy—allowing the taking of a human life, for any reason, at any point in a pre-born baby’s 40 weeks of development.

Over the past 42 years, the majority of the march’s passionate advocates for life have participated thanks to the persistent, faithful work of the Catholic Church. Evangelicals are emerging, too, in greater numbers to fight the social injustice of abortion.

“The March for Life is such an incredibly diverse experience—racially, ethnically, denominationally and generationally,” says Ryan Bomberger, Chief Creative Officer of The Radiance Foundation. “OneVoiceDC is an event that will enable Christians to focus on what we’re all about: loving God and loving people.”

This unifying evangelical event, with racially and denominationally diverse leadership, will be hosted by the March for Life Conference & Expo on the evening before the massive march, at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel.

OneVoiceDC will held from 7 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel’s Grand Ballroom on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.  Those who plan to attend OneVoiceDC are encouraged to register online early, as seating is limited.

Brian Fisher, President of Online For Life, reveals why prayer is vital to the March for Life: “The culture of death and abortion in America is primarily a spiritual condition. Prayer, therefore, is our primary act in the effort to end abortion in America.”

“I can’t wait to see how God answers the prayers of His people at OneVoiceDC,” he says. “Hearts will be changed, babies will be rescued, and families will be restored.”

Other participating partners include Alliance Defending Freedom, And Then There Were None, CEC for Life, the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, Concerned Women for America, Family Research Council Action, Hope Christian Center, the National Black Pro-Life Coalition, Stand True Pro-Life Outreach, StanekReport.com, Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust and The Victory House.

With only seven weeks until March for Life 2015, word of this landmark worship and prayer event OneVoiceDC is spreading fast among churches in the Washington region, Bound4LIFE local chapters, and believers nationwide who will come to make their voices heard.
