Meghan McCain Puts Biden’s Murky Abortion Stance on Blast: ‘It’s Murder’
During a recent interview on The View, conservative commentator Meghan McCain blasted President Biden’s abortion views. He had claimed in the past that he did not personally support abortion, but McCain argued that it’s illogical to hold those views and still support pro-choice legislation.
The debate sparked from a discussion on the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ consideration of a plan that would prohibit pro-abortion politicians from taking communion.
The bishops voted Friday 168-55 in favor of drafting “a formal statement on the meaning of the Eucharist in the life of the Church.”
“If you are a devout Catholic as President Biden claims to be, abortion is a cardinal sin,” McCain said. “It can do deep spiritual harm to you.”

On addressing whether she believed pro-choice Catholic politicians should be able to take communion or not, McCain said, “It’s ultimately up to the church,” but Biden was walking a “very fine line.”
She continued with a reference to the deeply personal issue many believers face with abortion. “But ultimately, all of these issues are literally life and death for Catholics, for devout Christians,” McCain said. Biden will “ultimately have to talk to his creator when the time comes, as we all do, and reconcile his politics with his personal faith.”
“His official stance, by the way, is he’s politically opposed or personally opposed to abortion but doesn’t feel that he had the right to impose this view on the rest of the country,” she argued. “For someone who claims to be pro-life, I never understand this argument.”
She likened Biden’s views to being opposed to murder but still allowing it to happen or even passing laws that loosen restrictions on preventing murder. She also referenced Biden’s support of the Hyde Amendment up until he decided to run for office in 2019.
“It doesn’t register with me. I don’t get it,” she concluded. The discussion concluded with a focus on the separation of church and state.
Just hours after the interview made the rounds on social media, McCain tweeted an “ardently pro-life” message, saying she is and will always be proud of fighting for the rights of unborn children.
I do not care how much pressure or how uncool it makes me in media circles, I am ardently pro-life. I am proud to be and will always fight for the rights of the unborn. I wish the media would employ more than one woman on network tv instead of treating us like we’re fringe freaks

Pro-life advocacy group LiveAction commended McCain for her stance.
Thank you, Meghan McCain, for courageously standing for life.

This is not the first time McCain has stood up for her beliefs and, according to her, will not be the last.
Planned Parenthood “indirectly criticized” her on social media in April after she made comments on The View about women’s rights.
She then replied to the abortion giant’s tweet, “I believe life begins at conception – I will NEVER apologize or back down from defending the rights of the most vulnerable in our society, the unborn.” {eoa}
