Melania Trump Offers Inspirational Faith-Filled Message in the Midst of Devastation
First Lady Melania Trump tweeted an inspirational faith-filled message after Thursday’s deadly massacre at the Annapolis Capital-Gazette.
Today’s violence at the Capital Gazette was tragic & evil. My heart goes out to all affected in this brutal & senseless attack, & I send thoughts & prayers for comfort to the friends, family & colleagues of those killed & injured.

Five people died and more were injured as Jarrod Ramos fired his way into the Maryland newsroom.
“This was a targeted attack on the Capital Gazette,” says Anne Arundel County Deputy Police Chief William Krampf. “This person was prepared today to come in. He was prepared to shoot people.”
Krampf says the suspect “looked for victims as he walked through the lower level.”
Anne Arundel County police Lt. Ryan Frashure says, “This individual had some type of vendetta against The Capital newspaper and they were specifically targeted.”
Trump was not the only politician to turn to God as tragedy struck. Here’s what others are saying:
The senseless attack on a Maryland newspaper today is sickening. God bless these journalists. We pray for them and their families tonight.

My heart goes out to the families and victims of the shooting at the Capital Gazette. We have had to witness far too many of these atrocities, and it is time to put an end to them. I will continue to monitor the scene, and ask you all to keep the victims in your prayers.
