A woman in Nashville, Tenn., has come up with a solution to help prostitutes get off the street.

Becca Stevens offers women a free alternative working for the cosmetic company she started called Thistle Farms.

The women make soaps, oils and other products to sell nationwide.

Another unique feature of the program is that it offers free housing, eliminating the worry about paying rent.

Stevens, who experienced sexual abuse as a youngster, says her personal trauma has helped her connect with these women.

“What I didn’t know was that that period would link me to the women on the streets forever,” she said.

The Episcopalian minister knows firsthand that these women need a job and place to live if they want change their lifestyle.

The program seems to be working: 75 percent of the women Stevens has helped have stayed off the streets.
