Pastor Caught With Cocaine in His Car: The Devil Is a Liar
Police arrested a Connecticut pastor on charges of drug possession when they found bags of cocaine in his car.
Kenneth DuBose, the lead pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, reportedly told police he took the narcotics from a drug dealer he was counseling.
But police say they saw DuBose purchase the drugs during a sting operation.
“The devil is a liar. God will and can turn every set up into a victory. You have to know this before the storm so when it does come you can trust the outcome. I know that my witness is in heaven and He got my back. No doubt. Bishop,” DuBose posted to Facebook after his arrest.
DuBose was later released on bond.
According to St. James Missionary Baptist Church, DuBose began ministering at 9 in his father’s singing group, The Sentsational Starlights.
In 1996, a Christian Methodist Episcopal Church licensed DuBose to preach and exhort.
DuBose has led SJMBC for the last six years.
