A new video shows pastors laying hands on “president-to-be” Hillary Clinton.
Megachurch Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell leads the prayer, with voices echoing his every word:
“Until He comes again, Secretary Clinton and President-to-be Clinton, we decree and declare from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet that the favor of the Lord will surround you like a shield, in Jesus’ name,” Caldwell prays.
According to NBC News, Clinton met with 50 “of the most significant African-American clergy persons in the country” last week for a fundraising event.
“She was extremely warm and personable,” event host Rev. Mark Tyler told NBC. “I think a lot of people in that room felt the same way.”
As it seems Republicans use their faith at every turn, Clinton recently started engaging people of faith by promoting her daily devotional habits.
“I get a scripture lesson every morning from a minister that I have a really close personal relationship with,” Clinton said during a town hall event. “He gets up really early to send it to me, so you know, there it is, in my inbox at 5 a.m.”
