President Biden to Codify Roe if Democrats Keep Control of Congress

With the possibility of a “red wave” in the upcoming midterms, many Democrats are on edge.
With abortion being the hot-button issue for many left-leaning candidates, Democrats hope to swing enough voters to maintain control of the House and Senate.
In what many are calling a weak attempt to steer voters toward democratic candidates, President Biden declared he would codify Roe v. Wade with a democratic legislature.
“The court got Roe right nearly 50 years ago, and I believe Congress should codify Roe v. Wade once and for all,” Biden said in his speech. “Together we will restore the right to choose for every woman in every state in America. So, vote!”
There are fears among some on the Right, that if the Democrats do maintain control of Congress and are unable to swing enough Republican votes to codify Roe, then they will try to do away with the filibuster.
Following the president’s speech, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer released a statement attacking Republicans and accusing them of wanting to lock up women and doctors:
“The choice for America’s future is clear as day: elect more MAGA Republicans if you want to see a nationwide ban on abortion; if you want to see doctors and women arrested; if you want to see no exceptions for rape or incest. Elect more pro-choice Democrats to save Roe and protect a woman’s right to make their own decisions about their health and their body.”
The president’s words were met with swift condemnation from many who are pro-life, including March for Life President Jeanne Mancini who released a statement regarding Biden’s words:
“President Biden’s desperate attempt to sway voters by pushing painful abortions is clear evidence of how out of touch he is. Ninety percent of Americans reject Biden’s view that abortion should be legal up until birth for any reason—paid for by taxpayers.”
The claim that the vast majority of Americans are against late-term abortions was verified by multiple polls conducted by various outlets including CBS (only 17% for) and Pew (19% for).
President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Marjorie Dannenfelser also criticized the president for his support of extreme abortion measures at any point of a pregnancy:
“Doubling down on an extreme agenda of abortion on demand until birth won’t stop Democrats from losing Congress, even with the abortion industry spending record sums to elect them,” said Dannenfelser. “Biden’s party is on the wrong side and stunningly out of touch.”
For many Americans, abortion is not even a top issue in the upcoming elections.
According to Rasmussen Reports, the top five issues on voters’ minds this election cycle are: inflation; the economy; energy policy; high gas prices; and election integrity. Based on the research Rasmussen has conducted, abortion rights come in at #12 on their list of issues voters are concerned the most about.
For many Christians, these issues carry a heavy spiritual aspect with them as well.
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn addresses the many spiritual issues affecting America and the world today, including abortion, in his new book, “The Return of the Gods.” This new insight will help Christians understand and come to grips with the spiritual powers trying to corrupt the world today. {eoa}
