Ron Luce’s Teen Mania, Acquire The Fire Shut Down

Teen Mania Founder Ron Luce has shut down his ministry, including Acquire the Fire conferences.

“We feel like this season has come to a close, this chapter is done. To speak with biblical reference, this wine skin is done being used. (It’s) time for a new wine skin,” Luce says.

The ministries and Luce experienced recent woes, as a judge issued an arrest warrant for Luce when he failed to appear at a hearing.

Compassion filed a lawsuit against Teen Mania last year for breach of contract, alleging Teen Mania failed to refund money Compassion paid to promote their child-sponsorship programs at Acquire the Fire conferences, Charisma News previously reported.

Teen Mania found itself in significant debt in recent years, shedding some of it by moving the organization headquarters to Dallas.

However, it wasn’t enough to keep the ministry active. Now that this ministry chapter is coming to a close, Luce expressed gratitude for all that the partners accomplished.

“We’re very grateful for pastors and youth pastors who have partnered with us. We’re very, very grateful for the lives who were touched through us working together,” Luce says.
