Saints, Let’s Go to the Throne Room for Pastor Glen Berteau
Glen Berteau, senior pastor of The House in Modesto, California, suffered a major heart attack Monday evening, according to posts on his Facebook page. This was his second heart attack. His wife, Pastor Deborah, is requesting urgent prayer on behalf of her husband, a well-loved pastor, author and evangelist.
This evening she posted: “Pastor is still fighting. Your diligent prayers are appreciated. Pray for his heart, blood pressure and body. – @deborahberteau”
After the attack last night, Berteau was transported to the hospital shortly thereafter, according to a Facebook post from Mike Trenton.
“Pastor Deborah asked me to let you know that he is stable, with a strong and steady heartbeat. He will be moved from the emergency room to the ICU later this evening. The next 24 hours are critical and we are asking the body of Christ to unite together with the prayer of agreement for Pastor Glen’s total and complete healing and recovery. Pastor Glen is a fighter and we are believing by faith that the Lord is going to raise him up. As I write this message to you, I am reminded of a message he preached after returning to the pulpit following his first heart attack several years ago. I believe he will preach it again, ‘Devil, Your Request Has Been Denied – Again!’
“We are asking the church family to join us for 24 hours of prayer and fasting. The prayer chapel at The House will be open all night for those who wish to come and pray. We respectfully request that you not go to the hospital. They simply do not have the room for all of you and there is no way you can see him. With Pastor Deborah’s permission, we will do our best to keep you apprised of Pastor Glen’s condition as we learn more in the hours to come. On behalf of Pastor Deborah and the Berteau family, the church board and the entire staff, we thank you for your prayers and your concern.”
