Viral Photo Shows Boy Praying With Santa for Something Selfless
Rebekah Lauren Sharpe and her nephew were probably some of many in line to meet Santa this holiday season—but their visit was far from average.
After 4-year-old Presytn asked Santa for a train set, he asked Father Christmas for something most might ignore: prayer for Knox Stine, an infant who was found unresponsive in his bed on Nov. 30.
Sharpe captured the moment on Instagram: “Asked Santa to pray with our boy for baby Knox! #kneelingforknox#
Presytn’s little heart for prayer is making a big impact, and the viral photo even made it back to the Stine family.
“I never met them,” Knox’s mom Mindi Stine tells Today. “I don’t know them. I don’t know how they know of us or heard of us or anything, but I recognized their names, and I knew that they had said that they were praying for baby Knox, and for a miracle for us. … I showed my husband [the photo], and we both just smiled at each other, like, ‘Something amazing is happening.’ It was just beautiful.”
According to Knox’s Facebook page, it appears God is answering Presytn’s and Santa’s prayers.
“Our medical team, case manager and the medical supply company have all met with us, and we are seriously preparing to transition home. More details in the days ahead, but the team here has a goal of transition into home setting next week if possible. NEXT WEEK, YA’LL!
“Baby Knox has been taking occasional breaths on his own, and while the staff continues to remind us that they are “ineffective” any sort of change is encouraging to see.
“We have been praying for a miracle for Knox, and while we fully believe that God has already done miracles for Knox, we are hanging on, begging Him to send His healing to our baby boy.
“Everything is happening so fast, and we are excited and apprehensive at the same time about the transition home.”
Now that’s a Christmas miracle.
