Desiree Andrews has Down syndrome, but that doesn’t normally stop the pep in her step—she’s a cheerleader for a basketball team.  

However, when some bullies were attacking her from the stands in the middle of a game, some unlikely heroes stepped in. 

“When I heard they were talking about her, it made me kind of mad,” said basketball player Miles Rodriguez.
