WATCH: California Democrats Open Assembly in a Blasphemous ‘Prayer’ to Beyoncé!
California Democrats have officially gone off the deep end. On Feb. 24, 2025, Assemblymember Tina S. McKinnor led a so-called “prayer” to kick off a state assembly meeting—not to God, but to Beyoncé.
Yes, you read that right.
Instead of offering reverence to the Almighty, McKinnor invoked Queen Bey, weaving lyrics from her latest album into what should have been a solemn moment of reflection. “Raise your hands, breathe in deep, get yourself a new pair of boots, a shiny buckle, and a wide-brimmed hat and sing praise as we enter the Cowboy Carter era,” she declared.

Sing praise? To Beyoncé?
If that wasn’t absurd enough, she continued: “Ask yourself as Queen Bey asks us all—can we stand for something?” What exactly is this state assembly supposed to be standing for? Because from the looks of it, they’re kneeling at the altar of pop culture instead of governing with wisdom and humility.
This wasn’t just cringeworthy—it was outright blasphemous. The prayer twisted faith, using Beyoncé lyrics as some sort of substitute for Scripture, and then had the audacity to invoke the Bible at the end: “I just pray that we don’t crash because I keep my Bible on the dash. We got to keep the faith, members. Keep the faith, California. Keep the faith.”
Faith in what? Beyoncé? The Democratic Party? Certainly not the one true God.
The radical left’s descent into mockery of the divine is nothing new, but this takes it to a whole new level. The Libs of TikTok page put it plainly: “California Democrats opened an assembly meeting by reciting a prayer to Beyoncé using Beyoncé’s lyrics and asking her for strength. Democrats are making a mockery of God. Sickening.”

Sickening is right. This is not harmless, nor is it just an embarrassing display of pop-culture worship—it is a blatant rejection of God.
California Democrats have made it clear that they are not interested in honoring Him. Instead, they glorify themselves, their celebrities and their progressive idols, turning the state legislature into some sort of woke revival meeting where pop stars are deified.
This is what happens when a nation turns its back on God. When you remove Him from the public sphere, something will always take His place—whether it’s government, ideology, or, in this case, a multimillionaire pop singer.
Make no mistake—this is idolatry. The Bible is clear: “You shall have no other gods before me” (Ex. 20:3). Yet, here we are, with elected officials in one of the largest states in the union publicly reciting lyrics from a music album in place of a prayer.
America is in desperate need of revival. The radical left must repent for their outright rebellion against God. Because as much as they may love to rewrite history, twist morality, and deify celebrities, the truth remains unchanged:
One day, every knee will bow—not to Beyoncé, not to the Democratic Party, but to Jesus Christ, the one and only King.
