A lion did not attack a prophet, as previously reported.

Did a Lion Really Attack a ‘Prophet’ Who Was Following the Holy Spirit?

News sites last week rushed to report a prophet’s attempt to be a modern-day Daniel that resulted in a lion ripping out parts of his bottom.

But there’s a catch: The story appears to be completely made up.

“Prophet Alec Ndiwane’s” story was initially posted on Celebtricity, which is known for posting made-up news just for social media attention. According to Celebtricity:

Alec must have then come to his senses as he quickly realized this was not going to end well and made an immediate turn and ran back to safety. But before he could safely reach the confines of the car, one lion had snapped its paws on him, thus causing major damage to his toilet sitting tool. Also thanks to the game ranger who was near who fired some shots with his gun to scare the lion away.

So severe was the lion paw injury that Alec had to be rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. The man was fearing he would lose his bum, but the doctor’s assured him he would still have his left bum intact.

The photo used with the story is actually a picture of “The Lion Whisperer” Kevin Richardson.

Furthermore, a spokesperson for the Kruger national Park, where the attack allegedly happened, says no such incident was reported.

“The Kruger National Park is not aware of any such incident taking place anywhere in the park. It would have been reported to us if any of our rangers had taken part in this incident as reported,” William Mabasa said.
