A Houston pastor lost his daughter, son-in-law and infant grandson in a car crash in Israel earlier this month. Champion Forest Baptist Church Pastor Scott Riling’s 2-year-old granddaughter was the only survivor in the crash.

The pastor’s daughter, Sophie Rosetsky, and her 8-week-old son, Itay, both died in the crash. Sophie’s husband, Rodrigo, died from his injuries several days later in the hospital.

Champion Forest Baptist Church posted to Facebook soon after the incident, asking for prayer:

“Most of us cannot imagine what Scott and his family are feeling at this moment, but we can urgently lift them up to our heavenly Father in prayer for grace, comfort and strength,” Pastor David Fleming wrote.

Champion Forest member Steven Miori tells an ABC affiliate that Sophie was a “very kind girl. … She grew up in the children’s ministry. She brought light to the room whenever she was there.”
