How Does Someone Go From AG Leadership Into Islamic Studies?
How Mark Hausfeld go from pastor to Pakistan?
“Well, it all started back in the city of Chicago. We pastored on the southwest side of the city and a very multi-racial, ethnic neighborhood,” Hausfeld tells Charisma publisher Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines.”
“We had a missionary come in one time from Pakistan, and we were already supporting him and his wife and children. And when he came, he was with us for both services in the morning. He stayed until Sunday night, and spoke in the Sunday-night service. He began talking about Pakistan and the unreached cities in Pakistan, and [how] God had placed an urban burden on our heart.”
Hausfeld continues: “And I felt after that services the Lord was impressing that we’re supposed to go to Pakistan, and of course, anytime you feel called and you’re married, the Lord is also going to call your spouse. And if they’re not called, well, chances are, you’re not going to go ahead. So I began to pray about it. And eventually I shared it with Lynda, my wife, and she prayed about it. And we both felt a release that we were supposed to Pakistan.”
