‘I Was Just Praying to My God’: Christian Miraculously Survives Al Shabaab Terrorist Attack
When Islamic terrorist group Al Shabaab ransacked Kenya’s Garissa university, slaughtering Christians, one young woman utilized the power of prayer.
She ducked in a closet and covered herself with clothes, eating and drinking body lotion.
“I was just praying to my God, saying that if it has come to my day, it has reached. But if it not yet, let God decide whatever He likes,” Cynthia Cheroitich tells reporters.
The al-Qaida-linked group was intentionally targeting Christians, according to the Examiner.
“No amount of precaution or safety measures will be able to guarantee your safety, thwart another attack or prevent another bloodbath from occurring in your cities,” the group reportedly said.
The attack only adds to the Christian persecution count, which has been called the largest in history.
Pope Francis recently begged the world to not turn a blind eye to the horrors attacking the church.
“These are our martyrs of today, and they are many. We can say that there are more of them now than there were in the early centuries. I hope the international community does not look on, mute and inert, at such an unacceptable crime,” Francis said.
