Is the UAE-Israel Peace Deal Really About Peace?
A bombshell dropped last week when the US, Israel and the United Arab Emirates announced that the UAE would be normalizing relations with Israel. This is only the third such peace treaty that Israel has made with an Arab country in their modern history and the first one to be made in 26 years.
But is the UAE really looking to make peace with Israel? If so, why did they first announce that Israel had agreed not to annex the “West Bank”, and then they announced the peace deal, as if it were an afterthought?
The treaty seemed like a positive move for the region, and there has already been talk of other Arab countries following suit in the near future. Since the announcement, however, the US and UAE have announced that Israel also agreed to suspend all plans of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, and that they have agreed to establish a Palestinian state.
Even though the deal seems negative towards Israel, there is some good news. Listen to today’s show to find out all the details. Be warned—Joshua and Luke get a little fired up on this episode of The Joshua and Caleb Report!
