Regional Conflict Could Spark World War III

Many people have been asking me to update them regarding current events on several issues for which we have previously sent out alerts; notably, Egypt, a possible World War III, and Japan. In addition, there have been a number of prophetic words that seem to indicate that there is a very real threat of an earthquake on the west coast of America.

Some of you might want to review the prophetic word from the Apostolic Council of Prophets that we sent out for 2011 (ACPE Word of the Lord 2011), wherein we spoke of the potential for a regional escalating into a world war.

Considering this, I have felt the need to look at what is happening in the Middle East in the context of the ACPE word and report what could possibly transpire that might start a world war. I say possibly because I believe that God warns his prophets so they can sound an alarm and call for intercessory prayer to avert what Satan might be trying to do.

We received an e-mail from a prayer leader in Greece, George Markakis, who sent us some insightful potential scenarios regarding how nations could align themselves into what might begin as a regional conflict that could spark conflict on a broader scale-perhaps even a WWIII.

Greece has a military alliance through a treaty with Israel. Cyprus has also aligned itself with Israel due to agreements related to natural gas reserves. If war came, they would likely stand with Israel. Russia is watching their alliance closely and could well swing against Israel.

If the war aligned across Islamic lines, and nations such as Iran, Syria, and Lebanon formed a coalition against Israel, this would force Turkey’s hand. Turkey, a NATO member, has stood with Israel in the past but in this season, as they are becoming more pro-Islamic in spite of posturing as a secular state, this could change.

We here at Generals International are firm in our stance with Israel. Let’s continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. You are probably aware that, for the first time in quite a while, there was a recent bombing of a bus in Jerusalem. Hundreds of rockets are still being fired into Gaza which is another reason this situation could escalate as well. The West Bank could be the tinderbox that Satan would strike to foment a war on a larger scale as we see nation rise again nation.

Since the recent revolution, Egypt is seeing a deeply disturbing persecution arise against Christians. Here is a video about this:

It seems that Article 2 of their constitution declaring Egypt to be an Islamic state will remain. We need to pray that they will become be pro-democracatic and not an Islamic state with possible Shiria law. In case of a regional war, they are armed with the latest technology and have a military trained by the United States. Already, there has been some internal pressure to dishonor their peace agreement with Israel. With all of these factors, it isn’t hard to see how they could join the side of Islam in a worl d war.

Let’s not stop praying for Egypt and the region. We do not know what is happening in Libya except I am deeply disturbed that we may be, and most likely are, aiding and abetting Al Qaeda in the region. There is no doubt that Jihadists have joined the battle.

Factoring into this mix Pakistan which is nuclear-armed and has a citizenship that is largely Islamic and which has open borders with Afghanistan, this is another potential hazard to peace. Recently, the only Christian parliament member was brutally assassinated in Pakistan. He was a brave leader who was part of Che Ahn’s HIM network and had been leading the battle against the blasphemy laws that have been used to persecute believers in that region.

Iran and North Korea as well as Venezuela’s President Chavez, who is sitting not far from our back door, gives us another potential cocktail for violence. Russia is also in this picture.

The word of the Lord from the ACPE for this year is that it will either be a tipping point year or a perfect storm. Many nations are in the balance right now. We are not to be afraid because fear and faith do not mix. Rather, we need to believe that God is going to bring a sweeping harvest of the nations during this time.

This brings me to Japan. My heart aches at the plight of the people who are suffering from the fall out of the earthquake. We must cry out to God that the perfect storm that has already hit Japan will be turned for good according to Romans 8:28. Satan has come to steal, kill, and destroy, and now God wants to bring life.

Let’s cry out to the Lord for a sweeping revival in Japan! I prophesied that the Lord would raise up a generation of radical revivalists for the land of the rising Sun and I believe that the Son, Himself, will arise with healing in His wings across this devastated nation.
