Is it possible the famous Ark of the covenant is in Ethiopia, like many Ethiopian Christian beliefs?
Hi, I’m Aaron Goel, an archaeologist and coin expert.
One of the biggest mysteries in Bible archaeology is where is the Ark of the Covenant?
So let’s look into this question, because digging is what us archaeologists love to do.
For hundreds of years, a daring story has been told about the Ark being secretly taken away from Solomon’s Temple by a clever trick.
According to the Ethiopian tradition, the real Ark was smuggled to their country by Menelik the First, the son of Queen of Sheba and King Solomon.
After visiting Jerusalem, Menelik supposedly replaced the real Ark with a fake one that he left behind.
But could a deception that big really happen without anybody noticing?
The Bible clearly says the Ark stayed in Jerusalem long after this supposed switch.
While Ethiopians honor their replica, does this mean it’s just a clever copy, not the real thing.
When it comes to religious belief, arguments don’t really matter.
And that’s exactly why the possibility of the Ark being in Ethiopia remains a mystery, as archaeologists love a good puzzle.
Diving deep into the pool of legends, I say let’s jump in.
Even if we don’t find the prize.
The adventure itself is fantastic.{eoa}
