Why American Believers Must Take Notice of These Growing Revivals in Cuba and South America

There is a mission house that sits on a slope in Niteroi, Brazil. Around this building are favelas, neighborhoods of abject poverty, that people pour out of the hills daily to come to the mission house and receive one meal.

This mission house is one of the many ministry outreaches of Rick Bonfim Ministries. Born in Brazil, Rick has lived in the U.S. since he was a teen. Over decades, he has built a national and international ministry. His brother, Daniel, has helped him with the Brazilian effort by carrying out a portion of his medical practice from a clinic housed at the mission.

At different times of the year, American teams come to the mission house to be discipled daily. In the evenings, they are then sent out to minister in the powerful atmosphere of revival found in many Brazilian churches. The salvations, healings, deliverances and freedom of these nights is extraordinary.

I have had the joy of going there several times, and I only need to hear a bus running or smell Brazilian food cooking to feel waves of Holy Spirit power and anointing fill me yet again.

The work of this ministry in Brazil, and also in Cuba, Peru and Israel, is ongoing and transformative for thousands of people. Not only are the people of these nations uplifted, partnered with and given resources, but Americans have spiritual experiences they may have never known before.

The need is so great. In Cuba, the people lack many basic necessities, but their hunger and love for the Holy Spirit is consuming. The government does all it can to suppress the growth of Christianity, but churches are often so packed that people are gathered around outside and hanging in the windows.

In Peru, how the pastors and leaders are hungering for partnership and guidance. They long for renewal and revival in their churches and it is breaking out.
