5 Prophetic Points for 2019 and Beyond

As we march into critical times, there is a dramatic escalation of activity in the Spirit world being mirrored in the natural realm. Both dimensions reflect the intensity of the last days heavenly battle that seems to be kicking into higher gear. Not only are these times extremely crucial, they are days of great advances.

What Time Is It?

The book of Romans contains more than just the great plan of salvation. It carries the plan of how to live an effective Christian life in the midst of dark storms. It is a book that teaches what time it is and how we are to rule and reign with Christ Jesus in practical ways.

Romans 13:11–14 aptly portrays:

Furthermore, knowing the time, now is the moment to awake from sleep. For now our salvation is nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us take off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave properly, as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in immorality and wickedness, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts.

In the last 30 years, I have not seen a season in which the activity in the spirit world has been this heightened. Keeping that in mind, here are five different prophetic points the Lord has been showing me which describe the days in which we live.

5 Prophetic Points for 2019 and Beyond

1. God Has the Harvest on His Mind

These are days of the rebirthing of the evangelist. As Billy Graham graduated into heaven, a mantle for evangelism has fallen. This mantle is not one that has descended on just one man or woman, but it is rather a calling of grace from God granted to an entire generation. Around the world an influx of souls is beginning to come into the kingdom of God unlike anything we have seen in the body of Christ for 50 years.

It is time for the words of seer prophet, Bob Jones—for a 1 billion-soul harvest, especially among the youth—to come in. It is time for P. E. classes in God’s School of the Holy Spirit. Yes, it is time for prophetic evangelism outside the four walls of the church. Power encounters in the streets, miracles in the marketplace, prophetic revelation released in a relational context will become daily experiences. Why? God has the harvest on His mind!

2. The Time of the Great Divide

There is also a deepening polarization taking place in society that will not be healed quickly—in fact, things are going to heat up even more. On the Day of Atonement in Sept. 2018, I was shown a boiling cauldron of escalating violence that went past what we experienced in the 1960s. I was warned that there would be an increase of gang violence, including a huge arsenal of munitions that would be distributed within the nation(s) by a devilish sinister plot to create disorder, chaos and senseless crimes. I saw multiple mass shootings taking place in different cities around the world, like what recently occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I was shown gun raids where U.S. federal agents would confiscate massive arsenals. The Holy Spirit called this deepening polarization, “The Time of the Great Divide.” This calls for a response from the body of Christ, both of intercession and spiritual warfare to expose the spirit of violence that produces riots, division and polarization. The words of 2 Chronicles 7:14 are just as true today as the day in which they were originally written: “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

God is never taken by surprise. He is not sitting in heaven with sweaty palms or wringing His hands in a nervous frenzy. In fact, according to Job 36:32 (ESV), “He covers His hands with lightening (glory) and commands it to strike the mark.” Darkness is an excellent backdrop for light to shine its brightest.

3. The Days of His Presence

“The Days of His Presence” may seem like the antithesis of “The Days of the Great Divide.” However, I believe future history books (if they are written) will call the days we are entering as, “The Days of His Presence.” These will be days of great displays of God’s brilliant presence. Some have prophetically described these days as “The Greatest Show on Earth.”

The theme of “His presence” will increase in emphasis in conferences and teaching series throughout the global body of Christ. There will be an invasion of the Holy Spirit taking over worship services and even large concert events—people will be struck with the awe and wonder of God as His manifest presence comes rolling in. After all, the distinguishing characteristic of the people of God is His Presence among us (see Ex. 33:13–16).

4. A Time of the Suddenlies

We have entered into days of acceleration and “A Time of the Suddenlies.” I was given a dream encounter in which I was climbing a hill and getting tired and weary. Finally, I made it to the top of the mountain just as the rising sun electrified the sky with a glorious display of His presence. The weariness of working so hard dissipated as I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit say, “You have entered into the times of the suddenlies.”

Later, I gained more understanding as the following phrase leaped into my comprehension: “When the fullness of preparation meets the fullness of time, it results in the time of the suddenlies.” It is like a woman giving birth to a child. There are long months of formation followed by uncomfortable times of stretching. Right when the expectant mother feels she cannot carry the child any longer, suddenly transition kicks into gear and the greatly desired birth comes forth. We are entering into “a time of the suddenlies.”

5. Joining of the Generations

I want to drive home a point that many prophetic voices have been addressing for years. In these days of the harvest, when His presence increases and suddenlies of God appear on the scene, the fullness of preparation will be due in part to the authentic “Joining of the Generations.” God desires to manifest as the God of three generations in one generation. He longs that the wisdom of the older generation combines with the resources of the middle, which is then mixed with the necessary zeal of the younger generation—this is a recipe for a sustained move of God.

In the natural, not only am I a father but a grandfather of a growing number of grandchildren. I am beginning to fulfill a role in the body of Christ I never predicted. I knew I was called to be a father in my generation, but it seems I have been saved from near-death experiences to become one of the “grandfatherly coaches in these days and times.” This I know, God is jealous for the authentic “Joining of the Generations.”

Until We All Attain …

According to Ephesians 4:11, Christ who descended also ascended and gave gifts to men and women. Some are set apart to be pastors and teachers, others to be evangelists, and yet others as prophets and apostles. How long are these ministering office gifts of the Holy Spirit given? “Until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, into a complete man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:13).

Well, this work of unity and maturity has not yet fully happened. But the good news is that we have entered into the second apostolic age of the church. A great shift is taking place in which genuine apostolic Christianity will have a rebirth in the midst of much chaos and turmoil. Perhaps much of what we have built will fall aside as the jealousy of God consumes manmade structures.

What time is it? It is a time when the Holy Spirit consumes the Father’s House and His presence becomes our distinguishing characteristic.

A Prayer of Consecration

Gracious Father, we come to You in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are grateful to see with our own eyes the fulfillment of the prophetic words spoken to us by forerunners who have gone before us. We agree that we are living in the days of acceleration and that the days of a great harvest are upon us. Release more of Your brilliant presence and let it happen now, even suddenly! We consecrate ourselves to You for Your purposes and prophetic destiny in the days of joining of the generations. Send more of Your Spirit now, for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen and Amen!
