A Lack of Discernment Has Led America to This Moment
Tragic events in Kabul, Afghanistan, confirm the Democrat Party’s undeniable disregard for human life. Removal of the U.S. military was shamefully executed, leaving behind American citizens, allies, women and children.
We must continue to pray for divine intervention and contend for every perpetrator to be met with swift consequences.
President Joe Biden said in his address, “My national security team and I have been closely monitoring the situation on the ground in Afghanistan and moving quickly to execute the plans we had put in place to respond to every … contingency.”
During an interview, MSNBC’s Brian Williams called the president’s address a “consequential speech.” In response to Williams, retired 1st Lt. Matt Zeller, combat advisor in Afghanistan and co-founder of No One Left Behind, said, “I feel like I watched a different speech than the rest of you guys. I was appalled. There was such a profound, bald-faced lie in that speech. The idea that we planned for every contingency?”
Zeller continued, “I have been personally trying to tell this administration since it took office, I’ve been trying to tell our government for years, that this was coming. We sent them plan after plan on how to evacuate these people. Nobody listened to us. They didn’t plan for the evacuation of our Afghan wartime allies; they’re trying to conduct it now at the 11th hour.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi commended the president’s actions as “strong, decisive and the right thing to do.” Pelosi’s refusal to hold a press conference in honor of fallen soldiers garnered a sound rebuke from Representative Jim Banks, R-Ind.
Banks said, “Where is Nancy Pelosi? Why isn’t she here? [We all] changed our plans so that we could be here today…We just had a moment of silence on the floor of the House of Representatives for 12 American heroes that we lost in Afghanistan. Not a single Democrat joined us … And that is a shame.”
“But perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised,” Banks continued. “The head of the [Democratic National Committee] sent out a press release claiming victory and saying that this president did what no other president could do. As if he’s some kind of hero…[T]his administration still has no idea how many Americans they left behind enemy lines in Afghanistan as they ended the evacuation mission.”
Every American and Christian who rejected Trump, who aligned themselves with the Democrat Party and voted for Joe Biden, now bears the weight of a decision that can only be attributed to willful ignorance and a total lack of discernment. Let this be an admonishment to believers who continue to support the left.
This party has been infiltrated by the enemy of communism and the enemy of our souls, the devil. As it is his sole purpose to steal, kill and destroy (see. John 10:10), so it is with the woke, progressive left.
Unless we see the redemption of these government officials, every citizen of the United States should completely distance themselves, sever all ties and withhold their votes from the Democrat Party. {eoa}
