Obama Military Honors a Traitor, Punishes a Hero
Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl may never serve a day in prison.
An Army officer is recommending that Sergeant Bergdahl face a lower-level court martial. That would mean no jail time, no punitive discharge for leaving his post in Afghanistan.
Donald Trump called Bergdahl a “no-good traitor” who should’ve been executed. Senator John McCain said in a statement: “There are allegations that some American soldiers were killed or wounded, or at the very least put their lives in danger, searching for what is clearly a deserter.”
Now consider how the Army handled the case of Sergeant First Class Charles Martland.
Sergeant Martland was kicked out of the military for roughing up an Afghan commander accused of raping a boy and beating up his mother. He did what any red-blooded American man would do. And for that, he was punished.
The Obama administration has fundamentally transformed the Armed Forces, turning our military into a social engineering petri dish in which duty and honor have been overrun by political correctness.
The president’s military is now a place where traitors receive a hero’s welcome—and heroes get the heave-ho.
