Calling All Revivalists
It’s far too easy to throw in the towel when the going gets tough. Here’s why we must never quit and keep pressing into the things the Lord has called us to do.
There are too many revivalists and forerunners who have thrown in the towel far too soon. Many have lost their burning fire and passion for Jesus. So many people have a lot left to give and also receive from God. We must never quit, never give up, but keep pressing into the things the Lord has for us.
You must guard your private time with God. It is the No. 1 priority of your life. You have to stay focused. Remember what you are called to and walk in that calling today.
God has called and is calling many to be revivalists in this day and age to stand up, stand out and be counted on! This is an exciting time to be a part of the church. I know and feel that the greatest move of God’s power and spirit in America’s history is right before us.
This is an urgent call to all Revivalists! Keep contending and stop blending in the current American church. We are called to be forerunners of this movement of God’s Power and Spirit. Don’t get tired, get up and contend for a move of God!
I love the story of Elijah’s epic battle against the false prophets of Baal at Mount Carmel. Elijah called down fire from heaven and one prophet of God defeated hundreds of false prophets. Wow! What a great victory for God.
He sent the wicked king Ahab on the run. What a great victory, and you think that would be the start of a great Revival outbreak, but that’s far from the truth. You could actually say that was the start of the end to his ministry, but remember, the Lord will always have a man. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, “For the eyes of the Lord move about on all the earth to strengthen the heart that is completely toward Him.”
Elisha was working in his father’s field plowing with a yoke of oxen. The Lord’s eyes found a man willing to work for the kingdom of God. When God sent Elijah to Elisha he threw his mantle on him and he received this calling and later obtained the double portion. Elisha slaughtered his oxen then burnt his plow, which means he destroyed his past and had nothing to go back to. It was his I’m all in moment with God!
In Matthew 3 John the Baptist was called to prepare the way of the Lord, to make the path straight. John didn’t go preach in the temples and tabernacles, he went into the wilderness. The wilderness is always a place of preparation by God. The Lord was preparing John and the people. He spoke different, he acted different, because he was different. John was a forerunner and the leading Revivalist of his day. The same should be said about us. We are here to prepare the way of the Lord.
