Obama’s Presidency: Take the Quiz to See If He Passed or Failed
17. In difficult financial times when unemployment is at record levels, should “public servants” be sensitive and set an example? For vacation getaways, the Reagans went back to their ranch, relaxed and the president would ride his horse and cut wood. G.W. and Laura Bush returned to Crawford, Texas, for some downtime in their rustic home. The Obamas went to Hawaii, Africa, Martha’s Vineyard, Aspen, New York Broadway shows and countless golf trips in Florida and California. McClatchy Report states, “Obama’s getaways have cost (taxpayers) $70 million thus far.” Pass or Fail?
18. Throughout his presidency, at home and abroad, Barack Obama has repeatedly emphasized the flaws of America and Christians instead of our benevolence and sacrificial service. His lecture at the National Prayer Breakfast left people stunned. Millions of patriotic Americans are perplexed by his fixation on denigrating our nation and its heritage. Pass or Fail?
19. The secularization of our nation on Obama’s watch has been tragic. His example in this trend was seen recently when he appeared during the classic Charlie Brown TV Christmas Special explaining the meaning of Christmas. He did not cite the birth of Jesus, as told in the story, but “loving tiny trees.” Families across America were stunned. Pass or Fail?
20. In 2008, Barack Obama put his hand on the Bible, vowing to uphold the Constitution and our laws. Instead of honoring our Constitution and laws, our president has promoted lawlessness through illegal immigration, failure to enforce drug laws and premature release of criminals from prison. While this adds potential voters to his party, does this constitute righteous activity? Pass or Fail?
Here’s the Deal
Even uber-liberal, socialist billionaire George Soros regrets supporting Obama.
With all our president’s speeches about our robust economy and recovery, honest and knowledgeable economists state it’s just “smoke and mirrors.” A financial day of reckoning is coming. The reliable Wall Street Journal just printed Saturday, “Stocks Post Worst Year Since 2008.”
America’s accelerating moral and economic decay has been aggressively advanced by Barack Obama’s “leadership.” It’s a modern-day tragedy.
Think back to Obama’s two campaigns and church leaders avoiding controversial issues, not equipping people to be discerning and, yes, opposing objective voters guides (voting records of candidates) being made available. Subsequently, remember church parking lots filled with cars displaying Obama bumper stickers? I wonder if some leaders now feel remorse for the part they played in his election and the current state of our country.
To get out of this mess, we need principled leadership—someone with courage, conviction and proven character. Think Washington … Lincoln … Churchill … Thatcher … Reagan.
Heaven help us if we get Hillary and another go-around of scandals, abortion advocacy and socialism in disguise as “progressivism.”
Democratic President Franklin Delano Roosevelt made this statement: “The presidency is primarily a place of moral leadership.” In light of this, how did President Obama score on your quiz?
The Pope on New Year’s Eve said, “The good always wins even if at times it can appear weak and hidden.” If you believe the good has not been winning, in 2016 will you do your part through repentance, prayer, fasting and civil engagement to help turn the tide back to God and our Judeo-Christian foundations?
“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chr. 7:14).
