Is Full Blown War Ready to Break Out in South China Sea?
It appears that a full-scale war may be on the verge of breaking out in the South China Sea. This conclusion can easily be drawn when we see what is taking place in this region. Vietnam appears to have reportedly deployed rocket launchers to disputed territories within the South China Sea, well within range of Beijing’s land reclamation projects.
Sputnik Reports the Following:
At the heart of the South China Sea dispute is the Spratly archipelago, a series of islands and reefs claimed by China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Beijing has built a series of artificial islands in the archipelago, despite criticism from rival claimants that doing so puts their own security at risk. Then we have reports that China is installing supersonic missiles on South China Sea’s most lethal destroyer! This report comes as China threatens to aggressively defend the disputed territories.
The missile system of the Shenzen, Beijing’s only Luhai-class destroyer, was upgraded to a 32-cell vertical launch platform capable of firing medium-range HHQ-16 surface-to-air (SAM) missiles with a range of 19 nautical miles and a maximum speed of 2,148 mph (3457 kph). Defense analysts say the system is comparable to the powerful Russian Gollum/Shtil-2 missile system. All of this is following recent reports of Japan directly threatening China when Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga accused Beijing of 14 violations throughout the past weekend of what Tokyo considered its sovereign territory, vowing a “firm” but “calm” response to China. Japan also ordered its military to be ready at any time to shoot down any North Korean missiles that threaten to strike Japan. Then we had a report of China allegedly massing its military on disputed islands in the South China Sea. This is definitely a lot of saber rattling and military movement from all these nations that appear to be making preparations for a future conflict.
Matthew 24:6-7: You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled. For all these things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom …
