Mark Biltz: If You Really Want to Identify the Antichrist, Stop Trying to Guess Who He Is

When we meet someone brand-new, we rely on descriptions from others to identify him or her—perhaps hair color, type of clothing or even the model of their car. Without those descriptors, we would have no idea who to look for—or even if we found the right person.

Such is the case when believers try to identify the Antichrist—guessing who he will be rather than learning more about his description, what his motivations are and what his tactics will be.

This is exactly the type of description author and minister Mark Biltz seeks to provide in his new book, Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times: What the Bible Says and What the Future Holds.

For the past 2,000 years, Biltz says, people have been anxiously trying to identify who the Antichrist might be and when he might be revealed. Many people have made preposterous claims, and of course, they have all been wrong.

“God says there is a powerful delusion coming,” Biltz said. “Too often Christians get caught up in trying to figure out the date of the rapture or who the Antichrist is, and they end up arguing with other Christians over when everything will take place, which doesn’t accomplish anything for the kingdom. They think having the right answer is their ticket to heaven. I would rather be ready for Messiah’s coming and wrong on the timing than be right on the timing and not be prepared! It was my aim to help readers see the big picture of what has happened historically, what is unfolding this very moment and what the future holds concerning the Antichrist based on the unfolding purposes of God.

“For Decoding the Antichrist,” Biltz added, “I felt it was of the utmost importance for the times we are living in right now to create a profile and look at the modus operandi of the Antichrist rather than just try to figure out who he might be. There are no bonus points for being the first one to figure out who he is. Of bigger concern is knowing his tactics and his motivation. Will we know when he has left his fingerprints? This is a much better approach so we won’t be deceived.”

In Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times, Biltz asks powerful questions such as the following:

  • What does the Bible say about the Antichrist, his tactics and his motivation?
  • Will the Antichrist work through modern technology to take over?
  • Does the Bible give us clues about the Antichrist and the end times?

“I don’t believe the Antichrist will come looking like Satan but will manifest himself as a messenger of light or a truth bearer,” Biltz said. “Can there be more than one truth? This sounds familiar, like right from the Garden of Eden! Our enemy loves to take the truth and twist it or pervert it ever so slightly. This is why the deception will be so strong, because there will be so much truth in it. The devil already has the world deceived, and now he will go after those who believe in the God of Israel by poisoning the truth. If someone offered you a glass of 100% purified water with a teaspoon of arsenic in it, would you drink it? The problem today is even worse—people are now drinking 100% arsenic with a teaspoon of purified water and calling it good and the absolute truth!”

Mark Biltz is founder of El Shaddai Ministries and a well-known and popular commentator on the feasts of the Lord. In fact, he has produced a series of DVDs on the feasts that have gone around the world. Biltz is also the author of Blood Moons and God’s Day Timer. His research and theories have led to guest appearances on both radio and television as well as being featured on the covers of magazines.

Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times is published by Charisma House, which has published books that challenge, encourage, teach and equip Christians, including 14 New York Times’ best-sellers.
