Mike Bickle on the Power of Prayer and Prophecy in Israel’s Time of Need
In a world gripped by uncertainty and turmoil, the recent events in Israel have captured the attention of the globe. This strife has led to a surge in prayer and support for the nation, with many believing that they are witnessing a significant moment in history.
In my latest and most urgent Strang Report IHOPKC founder Mike Bickle shared why this is a critical time to support Israel along with a prophetic word for the season ahead. Earlier this year there was astonishing 5 million people who joined together to lift up Israel in heartfelt prayer. What Bickle expressed about this season of intensified prayer is pivotal, possibly leading to a significant prophetic outcome. You can see his entire message on my Strang Report podcast. One of the keys he shared that I agree with is the context behind Daniel’s story as it relates to our world today with the rising conflict in the Middle Eastern nations.
“And then this mighty angel, it’s a very powerful angel that’s described in Daniel 10, he appears to Daniel. And Daniel I’m thinking is going, ‘What took so long?'” Bickle says. “The principality, the demonic principality of Persia which is modern-day Iran…the mighty demonic principality over Persia was holding me back and then finally Michael the archangel broke in because, Daniel, you kept praying,” Bickle says.
Just as Daniel had to keep praying to receive his breakthrough, it is critical that we too pray for God to pour out His Holy Spirit throughout the world, including on Israel during this pivotal moment. The Israelis are in need of these prayers now more than we’ve seen in decades since the Holocaust.
“I just got this kind of image that there’s lining up right now, but it’s going to end up getting far more brutal than it looks like, and far beyond just Israel. That’s just a thought, it’s just a feeling, but if that’s true, it will create a whole new awareness in the body of Christ to stand for Israel,” Bickle said of previous conflicts in the Middle East.
Bickle believes that a key difference between what has happened in the past and what is happening now is that God will use this incident to turn the hearts of the Jewish people toward Christ as their Savior. This is something we certainly can hope and pray for.
“We’re praying for this to go away now, but the Lord might be orchestrating something using the rage of Satan in the midst of that which Satan means for evil, God says ‘I got a plan that’s going to backfire on you, and I’m going to end up with a lot more Jewish people asking Me different questions than they’re asking Me right now, and it’s going to lead to their salvations,'” Bickle says.
He also says that this is a moment of true warfare, and we must be equipped to continue in prayer.
“We’re in that Daniel 21-day significant prophetic season where the prayer has escalated and the angels are coming and there’s war in the Spirit and the Holy Spirit would be whispering to us, ‘keep going; you’re in that 21-day period,'” Bickle says. {eoa}
It is in the midst of trouble that people’s hearts open to God in new and profound ways. It’s one of the reasons I wrote my book, Spirit-Led Living in an Upside-Down World. When our world has turned chaotic, we can rely on the Holy Spirit to get us through the impossible. Now is the moment that we must rely on God as we pray and seek His face for the nation of Israel and what is happening all around us.
