Move From Breaking Point to Breakthrough

Share:

Are you under a tremendous amount of stress? Have you been tried and tested, and you feel like you cannot go on for another minute or second? Have you reached your breaking point?

A breaking point is defined as a point at which a person gives way under stress, or in other words, a point where you just can’t take it anymore.

If you feel like you can’t take it anymore or that you are stuck in a place of misery, I believe God wants you to know that your breakthrough is coming.

Beloved, the Bible shows us just how God uses our breaking points—our pain, our stress, our period of testing—to bring us to our breakthrough. One of the best examples of this is revealed within the book of Ruth.

When Naomi arrives in Bethlehem after being gone for 10 long years, she is at her breaking point. She even tells her friends not to call her by the name Naomi, which means pleasant one, but instead to call her by a different name.

She tells her friends in Ruth 1:20, “call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.”

What does it mean when we come under so much desperation that we feel our name has changed? So many times, I have received letters or messages from people who say, “Dr. Corral, I just feel like my name is sorrow.”

If you can relate to this feeling, I want you to know that there is a supernatural solution for you when you follow in the footsteps of what the Bible teaches us to do.

One of those steps on the path from breaking point to breakthrough Scripture reveals to us is about coming to a place of God’s supernatural visitation in our lives. You may be asking; how do I get to that place?

If you look within the book of Ruth, the Bible teaches us specifically how to come out of devastation and into the place of complete restoration. This is shown through the story of what God did for Naomi after losing her husband, her two sons, her wealth and her reputation.

The story of Naomi shows us that we need to ask God this question: “What is the decision that I need to make toward my destiny that will change my life?”

For Naomi, that decision was to move out of Moab and return to the land of Israel.

God wants you to make that destiny decision for your life—the decision to move out of your Moab—the place of your devastation, the place of your confusion or the place that has distanced you from your destiny. This is because you are not called by God to live in your Moab or to live in the place that is not your destiny. Instead, you are called to live in the visitation of God, and that is the place where God has destined you to live.
