Planned Parenthood Celebrates 6 Million-Plus Abortions

Share:

On Oct. 16, 1916, a small clinic seeking to provide birth control and information to men and women opened in Brooklyn, N.Y. It was the nation’s first birth control clinic—and it was the genesis of Planned Parenthood.

Originally known as the American Birth Control League, Planned Parenthood, the largest private abortion business in the world, celebrated its 96th anniversary on Tuesday. Planned Parenthood was founded on the belief that women should be able to plan their pregnancies. And if that means killing pre-born babies just because it’s not a good time to raise a child, Planned Parenthood is ready and willing to put an end to the “inconvenience.”

With this milestone, Planned Parenthood is essentially celebrating death. The blood of more than 6 million pre-born babies is on its hands since 1970. Planned Parenthood has used more than $6 billion taxpayer dollars to execute its deadly mission, yet this nefarious organization promotes itself as a leader in women’s health?

Paul E. Rondeau, executive director of American Life League, calls Planned Parenthood an “abortion superstore.” The moniker fits. Planned Parenthood committed 329,000 abortions in 2010. That’s 27 percent of all abortions in the United States that year.

“Today, a new study by Protect Black Life shows that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facilities are located within walking distance of African-American or Hispanic/Latino neighborhoods, contributing to the dismaying statistic that black abortions are 300 percent higher per capita than whites. This is no surprise to pro-life African-American leaders, whom the mainstream media and politicians avoid whenever possible-especially in this election year,” Rondeau says.

“Margaret Sanger, a member of the American Eugenics Society, stated in her 1932 Plan for Peace that persons from ‘dysgenic groups’ should be given their choice of sterilization or confinement on a farm for the rest of their lives. She saw minorities and the poor as ‘weeds’ that needed to be controlled. Is this why Obamacare contributes another $1 billion to abortions and puts Planned Parenthood into schools? A world without Planned Parenthood? That would be a celebration.”

I agree with Rondeau. Planned Parenthood was largely exposed this year and yet funding still trickles in to the death dens. But that doesn’t mean we should quit the battle. On Wednesday, pro-life students modeled the way on campuses by wearing red tape across their mouths in a silent protest against abortion. Thousands of others are holding Silent Sieges (prayer meetings) at courthouses and abortion clinics across the nation through Bound4LIFE chapters. Activist groups continue to organize petitions and rallies against abortion. I’m one that believes it’s making a difference. If we save even one pre-born baby from destruction, it’s making a difference.

Consider the statement from Planned Parenthood’s Chief Operating Officer Lisa David on the organization’s 96th anniversary: “One in five women has visited a Planned Parenthood health center at some point in her life for professional, nonjudgmental and confidential care. That’s why nearly 3 million patients rely on Planned Parenthood health centers for care every year. We’re proud of that. And despite the attacks to women’s health and efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, on this 96th anniversary, we’re here to say Planned Parenthood will continue to provide care—no matter what.”

What a prideful statement! Lord, show mercy and awaken David and other Planned Parenthood officials to the sin they are committing by murdering pre-born babies by the millions. Saints, pray for a world without Planned Parenthood, so, as Rondeau said, we can really celebrate. Until then, don’t stop praying.
