How Zionism and Evangelicalism Can Work Together for Jerusalem
In the heart of Israel’s capital is a museum dedicated to telling the stories of Christians who have fought for the Jewish people throughout the centuries.
Called the Friends of Zion, the museum works beyond its walls as founder Mike Evans travels the globe to award major leaders—including President Donald Trump—the Friends of Zion award.
Many experts now believe that this Christian Zionism, which was initially intended to establish the modern state of Israel, has turned Israel into a robust nation and is drawing international leaders to declare Jerusalem the country’s capital.
Initially, Evans says, Jews were skeptical of Zionism.
“Could they possibly really love us, love our nation, want do good deeds without stealing our soul?” Evans describes.
