The Way the Government Plans to Deceive You Come Friday
Editor’s Note: Friday is the annual March for Life. As we cry out for the end of abortion, prayerfully consider how the Lord can use your testimony to bring healing, restoration and justice for families devastated by the death of an unborn child.
I’m going to say this plain and direct. This proposed bill is a sham and a disgrace.
On the same day as the March for Life, the House will vote on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. They’re heralding it as a step in the right direction in the fight against abortion. It’s not.
Please read it carefully:
“To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit a health care practitioner from failing to exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.”
The purpose of this bill is to make sure health care practitioners can exercise proper care if a baby survives an abortion—Seriously? This is an example of how callous, cold-hearted and cruel our culture has become. And this is supposed to be a victory and a step forward in the fight against abortion. What a travesty!
Do you realize that the first person who recognized Jesus was an embryo still in the womb?
“When Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit” (Luke 1:41).
This Scripture alone should convince every naysayer that life takes place at conception. A baby in the womb is a spirit that comes from God. Its life is in the blood. This means that where there is blood flowing, there is life.
“And do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness; instead, expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things are exposed when they are revealed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light” (Eph. 5:11-13).
