There Is Something Worse Than the Coronavirus
Jesus said there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven (Luke 21:11) . And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.” This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain (Heb 12:26, 27)
The Almighty God, the all-knowing and all-powerful God, Jesus Christ our Lord, who has all authority in heaven and on the earth—He has shaken up the whole world with the coronavirus. This virus is like an earthquake that has shaken up people with fear and panic, shaken up the entire economy and has shaken up world powers of government. The Lord has taken one little tiny microscopic organism and is using it to shake up the entire world.
So, why would He do that? Could it be that He is shaking the sleeping church, attempting to wake up those in sin and who are asleep in traditions? Maybe He is trying to wake up those who attend church while living in sin but thinking that they somehow are going to heaven anyway because of false teachings?
Jesus said, “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not happened since the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be” (Matt. 24:21). Jesus also said to the church, “Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you” (Rev 3:3).
If you contracted the coronavirus and died while you were living in sin, or while you were just a nice lukewarm “Christian,” the end result for you would be much worse than the virus itself. Hell is unimaginably terrible with eternal darkness, eternal torment, eternal separation from God and eternally existing with the worst of the worst humans and with foul demons. You don’t want to go there. Your favorite sin or idol or denomination is just not worth it. This is a time to check yourself and make sure you are right with God. Don’t trust in your pastor, your church, man-made doctrines or your feelings. Now is the time to repent of all sin and worldly idols and run from man-made “Christianity” and run to Jesus and cling to Him, obey Him, follow Him and endure till the end of your life with Him! {eoa}
