Warning: If We Don’t Ban Abortion, What Barbaric Practices Will America Adopt Next?

Share:

It can lead to other barbaric practices like the killing of preschool-age children, disabled children and the elderly.

Ridiculous? Impossible? Ridiculous, yes. Impossible, unfortunately not.

It’s the slippery slope we are currently standing on. Since the passing of Roe v. Wade, we have stepped even further away from a regard for life with late-term abortions, partial birth abortions and infanticide.

Who would have ever believed we’d descend to this level of atrocities?

The most recent passing of legislature in New York and Virginia regarding abortions confirms that we have. This bill gives specific permission for licensed health care practitioners “nondoctors” to perform abortions. These abortions can be performed up to the moment of birth!

Furthermore, this bill repeals protections for babies who have somehow survived the horrific procedure and are born alive. This makes it legal for those performing an abortion to deny medical care to the infant and leave the baby to die, which make take hours or days. Sadly, the passing of this legislation was celebrated with cheers and cries of victory by its proponents. But the United States is not the only nation with such laws and practices. Canada, China, Netherlands, North Korea, Singapore and Vietnam also allow elective abortions after 20 weeks. And Iceland has eliminated almost 100% of babies identified with Down syndrome through prenatal screening.

“The moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy and the handicapped,” said former U.S. Vice President Hubert Humphrey.

When these laws were being discussed, my niece exclaimed, “That’s impossible. They’ll never pass!” And then when they did, she asked in horror, “What’s next? Our toddlers?”

She had no idea that God was speaking to us at that time to reshoot The LetterWhat’s Next?, a shocking nine-minute film we first produced in 2009, depicting the truth of abortion and where it can lead. The Letter was originally written 20 years ago by Rocky McKinley (pastor of Destiny Community Church in Newberry, Florida) and performed as a drama. I’d say it’s prophetic, given where we are in this country with infanticide. We felt an urgency to release it to the public to get the message out there.

Our heavenly Father considers all life valuable. And I believe abortion is not only on the heart of God—it grieves the heart of God! Perhaps one of the reasons is that the spirit behind abortion comes from the child-sacrificing worship of the ancient demon-gods, Moloch and Baal (but that’s another blog).

And I believe God is speaking to and through His prophets at this time. In fact, while we were filming, I began to see similar messages coming through my social media feed and online sites like Charisma and GODTV. I felt encouraged by the confirmation and also shaken by the severity of the warnings from This Is Satan’s Next Step for America by John Burton (author, prophetic voice and minister from Branson, Missouri) and Jeremiah Johnson’s “Ninevah Warning”: An Urgent Prophetic Dream About The Fight For Life.

What’s Next? The Killing of the Elderly

In February, the Oregon State Legislature just signed off on a bill that allows starving mentally ill patients to death. Oregon became the first state in the nation to legalize the practice of assisted suicide, and at that time pro-life advocates feared it would lead to euthanasia. It seems that is exactly where it is leading. I shudder to think what’s next.

Unplanned is doing exceptionally well at the box office and does a marvelous job exposing the horrendous acts of the abortion industry, while also offering grace for those who have had abortions.

We currently have momentum in this arena, and God has called us to be victorious, but we cannot pull back now. A recent Gallup poll, released in June, found 60% of Americans take a pro-life position on abortion, wanting all (21% or almost all (39%) abortions made illegal.

Several states in our nation have issued bans against abortion, in spite of the opposition from Hollywood and the pro-choice movement. And make no mistake, there is opposition. They’re not taking it lightly. Acting President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Alexis McGill Johnson is urging Americans to fight back against bans on abortion. Many Hollywood celebrities are doing just that, according to Broadway World:

As part of Planned Parenthood’s #BansOffMyBody campaign, the artists signed on to the “Band Together, Bans Off” ad—which appears in the August 24 issue of Billboard—to raise awareness about the harm of sweeping bans on access to safe, legal abortion and affirm that no one is free unless they control their own body. The ad is supported by nearly 140 artists, including LIZZO, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Beck, Billie Eilish, Bon Iver, John Legend, Nicki Minaj, Demi Lovato, G-Eazy, HAIM, Troye Sivan, Macklemore, Hayley Kiyoko, Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves, Carole King, Dua Lipa, Meghan Trainor and more.

In a recent letter for Huff Post, Mark Ruffalo (“The Hulk”) penned his support for a woman’s right to choose an abortion.

But one of the most concerning to me is the June 6, 2019, issue of Teen Vogue, “How To Get An Abortion If You’re A Teen,” by Nona Willis Aronowitz.

We must not grow silent, weary or crawl back into our caves of apathy or complacency. There has always been immense warfare regarding this issue, and it has intensified. The enemies of God will not give up without a fight. There is more at stake than many realize, and warnings are being issued from within the body of Christ. Continue to be a voice!

We cannot claim ignorance. Here’s what: Speak up for the defenseless!

“Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die; save them as they stagger to their death. Don’t excuse yourself by saying, ‘Look, we didn’t know.’ For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew” (Prov. 24:11-12, NLT).

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” —Edmund Burke
