‘Prophet’ Insists He Was Framed for Selling Photos From His Trip to Heaven

Share:

This takes the angel food cake. On a page claiming to be “Prophet” Mboro, the man insists he took a supernatural trip to heaven—and that he has the pictures to prove it.

The real Mboro is founder of Incredible Happenings Ministries, but this story is beyond incredible. According to the Facebook page, Mboro claims he was “captured” during Easter Sunday service and took photos on his smartphone before returning to Earth.

Now, he’s reportedly selling his photographic handiwork from the heavenlies. Unfortunately, too many people buy into this type of other-world hype.

Despite the Facebook page showing doctored photos, Sunday World reports the Mboro says his name has been slandered and is being used to con unsuspecting members of the public. Mboro could not immediately be reached for comment. This has happened with high-profile ministers like Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen—and even me. Whether this heaven story is true or not remains to be seen, but there is a lesson here for the body of Christ.

Earlier this year, I had an encounter with the Lord about the state of some “prophetic ministries.” I wept and travailed for over an hour and saw clearly how various spirits have infiltrated the prophetic movement—and how some who take on the title of “prophet” are bowing down to other gods like Baal and Jezebel.

You probably know that the prophetic movement started in the 1980s. True generals in the movement like Bill Hamon and Cindy Jacobs have given their lives to equipping the saints for the work of the ministry according to Ephesians 4:11. In many churches, there is a healthy expression of the gift of prophecy as a result.

However, we know the enemy likes to sow tares among the wheat while we’re sleeping (Matt. 13:25) and the prophetic movement is unfortunately no exception.

Remember, Jezebel calls herself a prophetess and teaches and seduces God’s people to commit sexual immorality and idolatry (Rev. 2:20). Likewise, many today—both men and women—call themselves prophets and are teaching and seducing God’s servants with false doctrines, false visions, false dreams and false prophecies—and now false trips to heaven.

You probably wouldn’t fall for false prophetic photos, but you might not discern Jezebel’s puppets in your midst. You might not rightly judge a personal prophecy. You may miss it if you have any idolatry in your heart. Consider this chilling passage:

“The word of the Lord came to me, saying: Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Should I be inquired of by them at all? Therefore speak to them and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Every man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet, I the Lord will answer him who comes according to the multitude of his idols, in order to seize the heart of the house of Israel who are estranged from Me through all their idols” (Ezek. 14:2-5).

I’ve urged you before and I’m urging you again, judge prophecy no matter who delivers it. Seek the Lord for the truth that will set guard you from the strong delusion that’s rising in this hour. Stay grounded in the Word and close to the Spirit. Cry out to the Lord for greater discernment. As I’ve said before, anyone can be deceived. And if you think you can’t be deceived, you’re already deceived.
