Why We Can’t Succumb to the Lie That America Is a Fundamentally Racist Nation
On May 25, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris met with George Floyd’s family at the White House to discuss passing the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. Biden reportedly failed to pass the act by the deadline he’d set for the same day. During the meeting, a reporter was filming on location at the George Floyd Square Memorial in Minneapolis. As the reporter was going through details of Biden’s police reform bill, gunshots were fired, leaving one person injured and rendering the anniversary of Floyd’s death another day of violence.
One year has passed since the unfortunate and tragic event that threw our country into turmoil. We won’t forget that Floyd was someone’s son, father and friend. However, it is wrong for the mainstream media and Democratic Party to continue pushing a narrative that characterizes Floyd as a law-abiding citizen and martyr. After being convicted and serving time for numerous crimes, it was the purported passing of a counterfeit $20 bill that ultimately cost Floyd his life.
To this day, we still do not have tangible proof, beyond doubt that Floyd was targeted and killed because of his skin color. Yet, race riots, political talks on “white privilege” and legislation against white supremacy were all born out of the altercation. We can disagree on whether Officer Derek Chauvin handled the situation appropriately, but we cannot succumb to the lie that America is a systemically racist country. If we fail to successfully push back against false narratives, the movement of a counterfeit “racism awareness group” will cost us our nation.
Black Lives Matter is not affiliated with any branch of the United States government. Black Lives Matter is an openly communist organization that makes such demands as defunding the police and permanently banning Trump from future public office on its website. It is morally and politically reprehensible that Biden’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken authorized a Black Lives Matter flag to fly over the American Embassy in Athens, Greece. This gesture is divisive to our society, disrespectful to our values and dishonorable to the soldiers who died defending this country.
On the eve of Memorial Day, Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, R-New York, introduced the Stars and Stripes Act of 2021, stating, “It is inappropriate for President Biden and Secretary Blinken to authorize and encourage the display of inherently political flags that are in no way affiliated with the U.S. government over American embassies overseas. … The administration’s directive is an insult to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our flag and our nation— especially as we head into Memorial Day weekend.”
The bill was co-sponsored by several GOP members, including new Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, who said, “Our beautiful American flag should fly over the U.S. embassies around the world—not the flag of a political organization founded by Marxists.”
Black Lives Matter Founder Patrisse Cullors once admitted she was a trained Marxist. She also acknowledged resemblance between the organization’s ideology and the Little Red Book of Mao Zedong, who served as chairman of the Chinese Communist Party from its founding in 1949 until his death in 1976. What does radical propaganda have to do with remembering Floyd or reforming police academy training? Could it be Black Lives Matter has incentives (such as favorable media coverage and benevolence from leftist Democrats) to continue destroying people’s lives?
We must understand that Black Lives Matter has very little, if any, ties to the black community. At its core, the organization aims to completely dismantle the Constitution, annihilate Judeo-Christian values and drive society to its knees. Once it has accomplished this goal, the only way out will be through surrendering more freedoms to the government in exchange for protections they cannot provide.
This situation deserves our attention, our prayers and our voices to be heard. We must appeal to God and government to end the Black Lives Matter movement. It is imperative we find legitimately peaceful ways to resolve the unrest in our nation. America doesn’t need to be fundamentally transformed into a communist society to dispense equality and justice. We simply need to reestablish truth, hold fast to biblical values, repent and return to our first love. {eoa}
