Notorious Abortionist Labels Pro-Lifers as ‘Terrorists’

Merle Hoffman, whom Forbes magazine has called the “Millionaire Abortionist,” and whose Brooklyn clinic performs 10,000 abortions annually, doesn’t hide her bias against pro-life citizens.

In fact, Hoffman has gone on the record in court testimony as calling pro-lifers the “American Taliban,” directly comparing peaceful efforts of pro-life sidewalk counselors to the misogyny and fundamentalism of radical Islam.

Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, which represents pro-lifers who have become the target of a massive federal “harassment” lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, says Hoffman has testified pro-life citizens conduct a “type of terrorism” and says they “need to be bridled.”

Harmon is one of Schneiderman’s key witnesses against 13 pro-lifers represented by Liberty Counsel who have been charged with harassment of those seeking an abortion at Harmon’s Brooklyn clinic.

According to a release from the Liberty Counsel, Schneiderman’s office “worked in partnership with pro-abortion advocates for a year and a half in an undercover operation that included secret surveillance and used a fake identity to gather ‘intel’ on pro-life citizens.”

Staver terms the New York case as a clear “effort to bully pro-life citizens into silence.”

The New York case is one of several critical legal challenges in which Liberty Counsel attorneys are engaged as they defend pro-life, pro-faith and pro-family citizens who are coming under increasingly hostile attack. Liberty Counsel is fighting key battles against a who’s who of anti-faith and anti-life groups, including Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, the SPLC, GuideStar and others. {eoa}
