‘Donald Trump Is the Most Pro-Life President This Nation Has Ever Had’

The official theme for Day Three of the Republican National Convention was “Land of Heroes,” but it was clearly the “Night of Life,” with many speaking out against the cultural travesty of abortion.

Sister Dr. Deirdre Byrne, surgeon and member of Little Worker of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, was a featured speaker and opened her remarks with, “I must confess that that I recently prayed while in chapel, begging God to allow me to be an advocate for human life. And here I am speaking at the Republican National Convention. I guess you’d better be careful what you pray for. … As Christians, we first meet Jesus as a tiny embryo in the mother of an unwed mother and see Him born nine months later in poverty.

“It is no coincidence that Jesus stood up for what was just and was ultimately crucified because He said what was not politically correct or fashionable. As followers of Christ, we are called to stand against what is not politically correct or fashionable. We must fight against an agenda that supports and even celebrates destroying life in the womb.

“As a physician, I can say without hesitation that life begins at conception. I am not just pro-life, I am pro-eternal life, and I want all of us to end up in heaven together someday, which brings me to why I am here today,” Byrne said.

Donald Trump is the most pro-life president this nation has ever had, defending life at all stages and echoing the word of bestselling author of God, Trump and COVID-19, Stephen Strang, who says, “As believers the life of the unborn is dear to us.” His words echo the Scripture, “‘Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” (Prov. 31:8a, NIV).

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who met Christ through the ministry of Ravi Zacharias, followed Byrne’s message with an inspiring speech.

“On May 1, 2018. I followed in my mother’s footsteps, choosing to get a preventative mastectomy. I was scared. The night before, I fought back tears as I prepared to lose a piece of myself, but the next day with my mom, dad, husband and Jesus Christ by my side, I underwent a mastectomy.

“Days later, as I recovered, my phone rang, and it was the president, calling to check on me. I was blown away. Here was the leader of the free world caring about me. When I look into my baby’s eyes, I see a new life, a miracle for which I have the responsibility to protect. That means protecting America’s future … where life is sacred, where God is cherished—not taken out of our schools, removed from our pledge and erased from our history.”

Vice President Pence continued with a similar theme.

“That star-spangled banner still waves o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave,” he said. “From these hallowed grounds, American patriots in generations gone by did their part to defend freedom. Now it’s our turn.

“So, let’s run the race laid out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Old Glory and all she represents, our eyes on this land of heroes and let their courage inspire—let our eyes look to the author and perfecter of our faith and never forget that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom, and that means freedom always wins.”

Chen Guangcheng, the famed blind Chinese dissident, said, “I am forever grateful to the American people for welcoming me and my family to the United States where we are now free. The Chinese Communist Party is an enemy of humanity—it is terrorizing its own people and is threatening the well-being of the world.

In China, expressing beliefs or ideas not approved by the Communists from religions to democracy to human rights can lead to prison and the nation lives under mass surveillance and censorship.

Jack Brewer, former NFL athlete and lifelong Democrat, said, “I didn’t come here for the popularity, but as a servant of God, a servant to our nation and a servant to our president. As my momma always told me, ‘when the Lord starts blessing, the devil starts messing.’ Let this election be a call for all of God’s people who are called by His name to humble themselves and pray together and to seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. Then He will hear from heaven, and He will forgive our sins and He will heal our land.” {eoa}
