Donald Trump’s New ‘Positive’ Campaign Ad Just Went Live
Clocking in at 30 seconds and featuring a narrator’s voiceover, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s latest ad doesn’t exactly qualify as a “hype video,” but it certainly captures the energy that has propelled him in the polls over the last few weeks.
“Movement” is meant to be a positive campaign ad. It is now running nationally on cable and a few broadcast networks, the biggest ad buy for the GOP candidate since he began accepting donors’ contributions.
Campaign spokesman Jason Miller, in announcing the new ad, said that while Hillary Clinton “distracts and diverts” attention away from her own record with “negative advertisements that lack substance,” they have been “promoting the positive energy” that has turned the Trump campaign into a “full-fledged movement.”
“Donald Trump has been a successful businessman his entire life and is the only candidate that provides common-sense solutions to the problems that face everyday Americans,” he said. “Hillary Clinton has spent over two decades serving Washington, D.C.’s rigged system, while Mr. Trump believes in the promise of the American Dream, and will never stop doing what it takes to make America great again.”
