Dueling Town Halls Show Moderator Bias, Love for President Trump

Without discussing plans with the two candidates, the Commission on Presidential Debates canceled the second debate between President Donald J. Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden. Instead, dual town halls were held Thursday.

While Savannah Guthrie—wife of Al Gore’s former traveling chief of staff, a Democratic political adviser and part of Bill Clinton’s campaign staff—abused the president nonstop on NBC, George Stephanopoulos, former Clinton spokesman and longtime Democratic operative, refused to question Joe Biden on the breaking news of his son Hunter Biden’s laptop showing him as having laundered millions of dollars from China, Ukraine and more for his father on ABC.

In Miami, the ever-abrasive Guthrie spoke rudely for the first 24 minutes of the one-hour town hall without involving any of the questions from the assembled citizens. She then went on to push 43 of her own questions while taking only 10 from the audience in what seemed to be a disrespectful manner toward the president.

Four times she pushed the president to deny white supremacy and QAnon, prompting the president, frustrated but still clearly in charge of the discussion, to say, “I denounce white supremacy, OK? I have denounced white supremacy for years.

“You didn’t ask Joe Biden whether or not he denounces antifa,” he said. “What do I know about? I know about antifa, and I know how they are burning and destroying democratic cities. As to QAnon, let me just tell you, what I do hear about it is they are strongly against pedophilia, and I agree with that.”

Two key issues, though, came out during Joe Biden’s town hall.

The first, when the mother of a transgender child pressed him on his policies toward the changing of children’s sex, he shockingly said that he would support an 8-year-old who wanted to change gender.

“The idea that an 8-year-old child or a 10-year-old child decides, ‘You know, I decided I want to be transgender; that’s what I think I’d like to be, it would make my life a lot easier’—there should be zero discrimination. And what’s happening is, too many transgender women of color are being murdered. They’re being murdered. I will flat-out just change the law on their behalf.”

Biden further refused to answer the questions of packing the Supreme Court, which would negate the appointment of Judge Amy Coney Barrett and put every major accomplishment of the president in jeopardy, saying, “I am open to considering what happens from that point on.”

Guthrie, apparently doing all he could to harm the president, went so far as to say, “You’re not like someone’s crazy uncle who retweets whatever.”

But in spite of the overwhelming effort of the “deep state” to cause the president to fail, prayer was answered, as nearly every time he spoke, a precious Black woman could be seen off his left shoulder, constantly nodding in approval and support, giving a thumbs-up and igniting Twitter.

The highlight of the evening, though, was a woman, who—much to the clear consternation of the host—said before she asked her question, “Mr. President, I just love your smile! You are really very good-looking, particularly when you smile,” causing Trump, in the heat of the debate, to blush perceptibly as he got the last laugh—once again.

As bestselling author Stephen Strang said in God, Trump and the 2020 Election, “God may have raised up President Trump, but there are bigger issues ongoing other than just seeing God’s hand on him. There are evil forces, and it isn’t just his opponents or the fake news media. It’s what the Bible calls spiritual warfare.”

Strang echoes Proverbs 29:2: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.”

In just 18 days, the most important vote since Lincoln’s election will take place. We can have a future of America as the God-fearing, city on a hill, beacon of hope to the world, supporting 140,000 American missionaries who share the love of the Lord Jesus Christ around the world—or a communist dictatorship dedicated to removing any vestige of that heritage. {eoa}
