Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi Nightmare Just Got Worse
Hillary Clinton will be revisiting the events surrounding the Islamist attacks on the U.S. Consulate and CIA safe house in Benghazi, Libya, soon.
The families of two of the four Americans who lost their lives in those attacks—Patricia Smith, mother of information management officer Sean Smith, and Charles Woods, father of former Navy SEAL Tyrone “Rone” Woods—filed a lawsuit against the former Secretary of State, now the Democratic presidential nominee, on Monday. The suit will focus on Clinton’s use of a private email server, which they believe is at least partially responsible for their sons’ deaths.
According to the lawsuit, Clinton’s use of a private, non-secure email server allowed Islamists to “obtain the whereabouts of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and thus the U.S. State Department and covert and other government operations in Benghazi, Libya, and subsequently orchestrate, plan and execute the now infamous September 11, 2012, attack.” The suit also claims that during her presidential campaign, Clinton has “negligently, recklessly, and/or maliciously defamed Plaintiffs by either directly calling them liars, or by strongly implying that they are liars.”
Smith and Woods are being represented by Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch USA. It was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Click here to read the entire complaint.
