Report: Return of the Cough
It must be “allergy season” again—Hillary Clinton’s cough has returned.
As Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has ramped up his campaign efforts, expanding his turnout efforts to include traditionally “deep blue” states, such as Michigan and New Mexico, there has been pressure on Clinton to follow suit. It may be a pace she’s physically incapable of enduring.
As Breitbart News reported over the weekend:
But the cough that she has struggled with during various moments of her campaign returned during a rally in Ohio on Sunday afternoon. It was Clinton’s second rally that day.
After coughing several times, Clinton reached for a lozenge and quickly popped it in her mouth—then ended her speech just minutes later.
She spent less than three minutes on stage; a typical “stump” speech will run 30 minutes or longer. On Saturday, it was noted that her voice sounded hoarse while she campaigned in Florida. That speech was cut short when it was hit by an unexpected rainstorm.
The stress has been building for Clinton over the past several days: the announced reopening of the FBI’s investigation, her shrinking poll numbers, and Trump’s move to expand the battlefield for Tuesday’s election have likely all played a role in the cough’s return. The Clinton campaign, however, has not responded to requests for comment on Hillary’s health.
