Richard Land: Hillary Clinton Is the Greater Evil

Southern Evangelical Seminary President Dr. Richard Land told OneNewsNow on Friday that the 2016 presidential election could be the ugliest campaign ever, and he predicts it will be very close between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump.

But that being said, there’s a distinct difference between the two candidates.

“Frankly, I think we’re dealing with a choice between a lesser evil and a greater evil,” he said. “Mrs. Clinton is the greater evil.”

Land also noted a poll taken last month that indicated nearly three-fourths of Democrat voters felt Clinton should be able to continue campaigning, even if she is indicted as a result of her use of a private email server while secretary of state. He said he was amazed by those results.

“So what if she is a crook, so what if she lied under oath, so what if she’s broken the law, who cares? That says more about the Democrats and Mrs. Clinton than it does about us as a nation,” he said.

And while he’s never been much of a fan of Trump, he’s urging evangelical voters to vote for the Republican nominee-in-waiting.

“[I]f we don’t help the lesser evil prevail over the greater evil, we become responsible morally for helping the greater evil to prevail,” he said.
