Watch Live: Day 3 of Judge Gorsuch’s Confirmation Hearings

President Donald Trump’s nominee to succeed the late Associate Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court, 10th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Neil Gorsuch, will sit down for his third and final day of testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee at approximately 9:30 a.m. EDT.

The second day of testimony on Tuesday—all 11-plus hours of it—was a bit more combative than the first with Democrats pulling out all the stops in an effort to derail the judge’s confirmation. And, on several occasions, they actually helped him demonstrate why the president nominated him in the first place.

On several occasions, Gorsuch had the opportunity to take the liberals to school on the rule of law and the judicial canon of ethics (see the clips below).

Despite his ability to “play dodgeball,” as one Democrat put it Tuesday night, the barrage from Democrats can be quite taxing. Family Research Council Vice President Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin issued the following statement after Day 2 of testimony:

The liberal media has been spreading lies for weeks about Judge Neil Gorsuch, and it is imperative that we set the record straight with his confirmation hearings beginning this week in the Senate.

Radical Democrats, still angry that Hillary Clinton was dealt a devastating blow in the election, are rallying against Judge Gorsuch and have vowed to filibuster his confirmation.

And the liberal media is supporting their rhetoric by printing outright lies.

The New York Times, the voice of the left, has said of Judge Gorsuch, “as qualified as he may be???” people “should associate him with a constitutionally damaging power grab.”

And that no matter how respected he is, “the presumption should be that Gorsuch does not deserve confirmation.”

This is the print media, not the Democratic National Committee, and this is outrageous!

The only way we’re going to stop the left from denying Judge Gorsuch the seat to which he has been rightfully appointed is by combating their vicious lies, brutal attacks, and damaging rhetoric …

According to a recent Politico report, 11 of the most influential progressive groups in America have united to publicly urge the Democrats to “step up” the fight and stop Judge Gorsuch’s confirmation at all costs.

Groups like NARAL, the SEIU, MoveOn, the National LGBTQ Task Force Action Fund and others are ramping up their obstruction efforts in a big way.
