Democrats Don’t Want You to See This Video
In the video above, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Evelyn Farkas admitted earlier this month to MSNBC that she knows there was active intelligence gathering against President Donald Trump, his presidential campaign, and his presidential transition team.
Not only that, but she admits to knowing there was more intelligence gathered than what was leaked. She also admits she knows members of the Intelligence Community were spreading it around and leaking it.
The moment of truth:
I was urging my former colleagues and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill, it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration, because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] administration people who left, so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy. The Trump folks, if they found out how we knew what we knew about the Trump staff’s dealing with Russians, they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we would no longer have access to that intelligence.
In Beltway Parlance, we call this “committing the truth.” Farkas effectively, in that interview, outed herself as a source of the leaked information about the Trump campaign and transition team. That all of that is a federal crime perhaps came to her realization a bit too late, but she still tried to cover herself in the video clip below.
In Beltway Parlance, we call that “spin.”
