Donald Trump and Dr. Oz

Dr. Oz Reaches a Verdict on Donald Trump’s Health

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has shown no signs of slowing down despite campaigning the past several months at a break-neck pace, could stand to lose a few pounds, and he’s on a cholesterol-reducing medication.

Based on that, the liberal mainstream media would have you believe he could keel over from a heart attack at any moment. But, Dr. Mehmet Oz provided an entirely different verdict after reviewing the data from Trump’s most recent physical examination, conducted a little more than a week ago:

Cholesterol—we have 6’3,” 236 pounds. Cholesterol is 169. The HDL, which is healthy cholesterol, 63. The lousy LDL cholesterol is 94. Those are good numbers. Triglycerides are good—that’s the amount of fat in your blood. The PSA, like the other let published before, is 0.15, which is very low. Blood pressure, 116 over 70. Blood sugar, 99 …

And C-reactive protein also low. Your liver function, your thyroid functional is all normal. You had a colonoscopy performed July 10, 2013, which was normal with no polyps. Calcium score and your heart, 2013, also was low at 98. Oh my goodness. EKG chest x-ray on April 14 was normal. A normal echocardiogram was done two years ago. And your testosterone’s 441, which is actually—it’s good. It’s good.

You’re only on the statin drug you mentioned. If a patient of mine had these records, I’d be really happy. And I’d send them on their way.

The host of The Dr. Oz Show also conducted his own “review of systems” with the GOP presidential candidate during Thursday’s episode, which was taped on Wednesday. It included a series of questions about Trump’s general health, medical history and family history.

As was noted in his medical history in the report he made public Thursday, he has been admitted to a hospital just once in his life—at age 11 when he had an appendectomy that required an overnight stay. He had seasonal allergies when he was younger, but hasn’t been bothered by them in many years, and he said he hasn’t “had a cold in years.”

Oz asked why, with all of these positive results, he hadn’t provided the details sooner. Trump said he didn’t feel it was necessary, but now that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s health has become an issue, he decided to make his information public.

“It’s very private. It is all very private stuff,” he said. “Should you be showing it? I think when you’re running for president of the United States, or maybe any other country, in all fairness, but when you’re running for president, I think you have an obligation to be healthy. I just don’t think you can do the work if you’re not healthy. I don’t think you can represent the country properly if you’re not a healthy person.”

Oz then asked about Trump’s stamina, asking if, at age 70, he felt he had enough of it to serve as president. The GOP nominee said he did, indeed, saying he feels as good as he dd when he was 30 years old.

The host said he hoped to have a similar conversation with Clinton.
